hey all,
I don't post on here too much but my dad owns a '79 Spider 2000 that I drive all the time and is dear to my heart, and I'm proud to say it's finally getting a (semi)complete restoration before this summer gets going!
As of now rust is being cut away, but soon it will also have a working heater, working rear lights, and a roof! (had none of those the last five years)
Check out this posting for pics:

feel free to post if you've got any other ideas about what should be fixed
The Family Spider is finally getting a second life!

can't wait to see how it turns out. I'll assume the mechanicals are good

Amazingly yes, it's been running like a champ and always starts, even when coming out of winterization. amazing.

Wow, you're really taking on a big project. Are you doing the bodywork? Make sure you treat the underside of your welds so you don't get rust coming back and good luck!
