Hi!
My thermostat is gone , it will only open at approx.100 degrees Celsius.
I have to order a new one, but my question is:
Is it possible to drive without this thermostat?
I have tried without it, and the temperature only get to approx.65-70 degrees Celisus ( 140-150 F).
regards

Without a thermostat
a couple of potential problems operating without a thermostat;
on short trips the engine won't get to operating temperature. That will promote engine wear and poor efficiency. It also won't burn off condensation that accumulates in the crankcase.
At higher speeds you run the chance of higher than normal temps, since the water may rush through the radiator too quickly to transfer heat.
Engines like constant temps, not flucuations, so a properly operating thermostat is the best solution
