My 1974 'Beast' Spider is functional, running well, and BACK on the road!

I'll have more time in a few days to post more info, updates, and pictures - but I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone here who helped so much - whether it was sourcing parts, technical advice, or moral support.

THANK YOU!

Finding and buying this car was one thing, sourcing all the parts took almost a whole year, and then figuring out how to put it all together & make it 'functional' took almost another full year.

One crummy picture:

The quick stats:

1974 (small bumper) 124 Sport Spider
2000cc engine on '74 crossmember
Smooth Hood (!)
40/80 - 80/40 cams (Idles nicely, happiest above 3500 rpm)
Dual IDF 40's (Jetting to be published later)
F/I/A/T electronic ignition (Vac advance not hooked up)
Pre-'73 style 4-2 / 2-1 manifold & downpipe (no emissions ports)
Stebro Stainless Exhaust (1800 style w/ dual resonators)
CD-3 rims & hubcaps
Vented/slotted rotors, Ferodo pads, SS flex lines
AS style gauges (flat faced, chrome bezel)
H4 Headlights with vintage Marchal driving lights

This car idles, runs, and drives like a DREAM! I've only put about 70 miles on it so far, but I'm grinning like an idiot!

Lee,

Looks good but we need more pictures.

And, by the way, when you get your fancy new allow wheels from SoCal Mike, don't throw away those old used up ones that are on there now, just give me a call and I'll take them off your hands for a few bucks + shipping. No need to go through the bother of advertising them or anything. OK?

Congratulations. 1974 is the last year with the light chrome bumpers and nicest looking spider. I'm sure you will have lots of fun. JimmyG
