egr removal
Hi, I am in the process of removing all egr form my car, does anyone know how the pipe going from the valve cover to the intake manifold comes off. I noticed alot of posts saying to place a block plate at the valve cover, but I'd rather remove all the way to the manifold then figure out how to plug from there. thanks,
Re: egr removal
no need to plug the valve cover, only the intake and exhaust manifold ports

Re: egr removal
The tube from the intake manifold to the valve cover is fastened to the intake with an allen bolt. Remove the cover from the tube assembly where it meets the manifold. Then using the same allen wrench, remove the bolt from inside the tube. It might have some carbon buildup so it might take a while to get the wrench to go in the bolt.
You should be able to find an oil drain plug with the correct thread to plug the holes at the intake and exhaust manifolds.

ahhhh, thanks, there was so much carbon inside there I didn't see the second allen bolt. I will do that when I get home today, thanks!
