Ugh! My sympathies - I know exactly what this feels like.
BTW - 2 months and 11 days and I still have not gotten a penny from the perpetrator's insurance company.

Man, this is just bad from every angle. I can't believe that the insurance co has not ponied up any $ yet. Say what you want, even 4 or 5 k for a total seems like and easy out for any insurance company. Maybe you should develop some phisical symptoms to bolster their interest in getting you in their rear view mirror. Good luck man.

Steve, I feel for you.
Somehow you're going to have to make it important to them to pay up. 60-70 days is too long in my opinion for a relatively small settlement.

Steve, pay a few bucks to have a lawyer send them a letter. My wife did that years ago, and got fast results. Nothing nasty, just a sharp reminder. Don't wait - time dulls the intention to pay up!
