Too loud for the street?

Post by manoa matt »

I kind of like the exhaust note, but do you think this Fiat would be too loud for street use?

that is gonna depend on the street. i bet i could get away with it here in KOW KUNTRY just by not taking it "downtown"

somewheres else? you'd get tickets every time you took it out.

sounds like every morning at my place. What a useless event he chose though unless he likes backing up.

Mark, your exhaust system does sound a bit like that. I may have to steal the exhaust off my friends car who has your system. I couldn't understand the event either, but it didn't look like he was doing well.

I've never understood why motorcycles can be so loud, whereas I get a ticket for a hole in my exhaust, which is much quieter than the average bike. :?:

And that event.... What the heck was that?

Although the tone is not quite the same, my spider is about that loud.

I think a large portion of that "growel" is from the 44 IDF's and only some is from the exhaust. I already got the 44's

He would have a better time if he wasn't so interested in revving it constantly while the clutch was depressed.

If you want to imitate that sound, try removing your exhaust piping from right behind the front wheels. My car sounded just like that but about 3x as loud on the way home last night

Boogie, you forgot to tell them HOW you got your car to do that. I'm sure they would love to hear the story. I had a good laugh.

It goes something like this, I was out late driving with the woman and decided to go driving off road through the sand, dirt, rocks, etc at a local beach. Was having so much fun doing donuts and sliding around on the sand and dirt that i lost track of where i came onto the playground from. Took my best bet and was WRONG. Dropped off a hidden 6" curb while getting back on the road and my exhaust pipe got a little too friendly with the cement, and decided to convert itself to racing pipes. Had a fun 3 mile drive through quiet suburbs with my now 150db car in the dead of night.

Good times
