Looks pretty sharp, just my 2 cents. I think it would keep out more hot air if it was taller and fitted with a seal at the top where it meets the hood. otherwise it looks like a quality fab and install.

Great minbs think alike. I was wandering the aisles of the hardware and auto parts places yesterday looking for the rigth material to use as a seal.spiderrey wrote:Looks pretty sharp, just my 2 cents. The problem Brady or anyong else would have making on to fit that close is that different people have different brackets / supports holding the AFM / filter combo up. If someone sold a combination of that bracket AND heat shield then they could be sure of a correct fit. But without knowing the exact dimension / location of the filter height it would be all but impossible for Brady / someone to provide a shield that is that close a fit. The shield is supported by the filter adapter to AFM bolts while the positions the whole assembly in realtion to the original airbox support so the former is dependent on the latter.

Oops, guess I should use the preview function. the last sentence should have the word "bracket" between "...while the" and "positions..."zachmac wrote:Great minbs think alike. Re: Heat shield installed!
That makes sense. Since I dont have an injected car. I figured all were similar. Im sure there is a way to come up with a solution though.
