Restoration all but complete, and have found Spidy to be running on three. No1 appears to be out. I have changed out the plug lead, plug, and checked the dist. filed the contacts... still no good. This engine has had a fair bit of startup and stop without much running. I'm wondering if it needs a good blowout....eg a trip out the highway. Rings and new valves have been replaced. Anybody ??????

Re: Running on three
If you're getting good compression on #1, I'd pull the plug, ground it with the plug wire attached and see if you're getting spark to it.
