aaaaargh !

Post by Baz »

Not too far from finishing by Spidy, have only the center consul to fit and wire up the radio etc. I had done most of the work, but had left some wires dangling, but separated so as not to short out. While doing some other touch up I went to the fridge for a cleansing ale. Daughter's cat had decided to have a look inside car......When returned cat was heading for the hills and smoke was pouring out of the dash........I saved the day but lost a meter or so of insulation. Another few hours of work not planned for. Cat has not even done training in the art of Italian wiring......

Look on the bright side. You may have found the one and only way to keep your cat off your car! Let me know if it works, I'll gladly throw my cat on some naked wires and buzz her a bit if it keeps her off the paint.

Sounds to me like your cat is actually trained in working on Lucas wiring systems! Lots of smoke and burnt insulation are signs of a Lucas system functioning at factory specs

Um...I have also had a fuse block melt down with some flaming drops and smoke. Will I now need two replacement smoke kits or is flame not counted ??

I have shaved cat's tail to look like a penis.....not happy...
