My 77 takes a fall color tour w/ pix

Post by ga.spyder »

Perfect weather, peak of fall color,52 degrees...what do you do?Take a Spider for a ride.I drove the 82 for a couple hours yesterday,so it was 'Lil Red's turn. This is my project car which is turning into a pretty nice ride. The carb rebuild has solved most of the issues, and now I can get into brakes,cosmetics,etc...Took her to a nearby lake and snapped some pix.I took them from a 20 foot distance :D And no,the door isnt misaligned.I didnt have it shut all the way.Car looks pretty good for a three-figure car, though.Note the trademarked 'Nelson tucked bumper' look!

More gorgeous pictures of the countryside around you.
The views around here are not quite so stunning:

Nice pics, Craig. We went on our Woolly Worm drive yesterday but I took the Grand Prix. One the way to Elkin, it was raining sideways and the temps were in the 70s. I could just see the wind ripping the top off one of my cars and blowing the car right off the road. By the time I got to Elkin for the beginning of the tour, the sun came out and it was 80. Beautiful fall colors and great weather for a Fiat.

Mudflaps on a Spider? Was the PO a trucker, at least get the chrome naked girl flaps. Whats wrong with the door, is it misaligned?
I think I can hear a kid, sittin on a bridge playin a banjo in some of those pics. LOL.

Even your Spider turned red for the fall colors. Gotta love it. Beautiful country.

Nice! Our fall colors are winding down, though there should be at least one more good weekend left before they all fall. My brother and sister-in-law were here for the past two weeks from NM. Got to do a lot of "leaf peeper" touring with them and my wife. Craig, everybody should have two convertibles. It's amazing how happy houseguests are when you hand them the keys and tell them to go have a good time.
