Hi Guys
I am in need of the three grommets for where the fuel lines run through the rear trunk of my '76 Spider. I think I may be able to salvage one of them, but would prefer a new set. Has anyone found a part number and supplier for grommets that fit, or is it more hit and miss at your local harware/auto parts store. I'd also like to find about 4-6 of the rubber body plugs for the wheel wells and interior floor area. I've seen some part numbers that look like they may fit in the JT fasteners catalog and the Disco Automotive catalog, but I'm not 100% sure. Does anyone have a good supplier and part number for these as well?
Thanks for the help
Josh

When I was restoring a Jaguar I was able to find most any size I needed from Rhode island Wiring.Newell33 wrote:Hi Guys

I'm looking for one for the front wheel well myself. If you find a source, please list it and of course if I find a sourece i will let you know.
Re: Fuel Line Grommets/Body and Floor Plugs
As I was emptying my piggy bank last night to find money to buy a new wiper motor, the rubber plug at the bottom of it caught my eye. I was going to order the minimal quantity and see if one of these will plug the hole in my wheel well liner.

Red rubber should be fine for that if it fits snugly enough. If I find a black rubber one someday, so much the better, but this will do for now perhaps.
For grommets carrying fuel lines, I am not so sure, or anywhere that might get exposed to gas or oil, but something like this could work for electrical also, I think, with the right sized hole punched in the center. There are quite an assortment.

If you have a local paint and body supply store they might have them.

Re: Fuel Line Grommets/Body and Floor Plugs
I saved EVERYTHING from my parts cars. I have many body plugs and rubber grommets. If they were damaged or dry rotted I threw them away, I kept the good ones.
Send me an email if interested, please include pictures of the parts you need to help identify them.

Uh hum (sound of me clearing my throat to get your attention): I believe EVERYTHING you need you can get from Rhode Island Wiring. Just google them to find their web page. Don't be put off by the site, call them. They lady who usually answers is very nice and the have a little catalog that will show you every rubber grommet and plug you can imagine.
