Hi, I just picked up one of these Spiders.
What RPM do they like? I'm used to keeping cars at 3K.

Re: How many RPM
your question is pretty vague, but any engine generally runs best at the rpm where peak torque occurs. If your motor is stock I think you'll find 3-5k is a good operating range
Re: How many RPM
in my '80 i cruise very happily at about 3,100 rpm, in fifth gear, going a tad above 60 mph. above 85 mph or above 4,700 rpm my front end starts to feel a little light. i don't routinely hit 5,000 rpm.

Brent, What year do you have?
1600/1800 motors like to run at higher rpms then the stock 2L motors. My hot 1800 motor twin idfs, hc , big valves with stock exhaust cam and 40/80 intake cam can cruse around in 5th ~ 45mph 2200rpm then drop down into 3rd gear and rev her up to 7000. Oh baby, she just loves it.
