Eligble for pre '68 type.

Post by sparson »

Hi,

I am interested in a Spider for road rallying, but I need one that is eligible in a 'pre '68 type', that is with components as available up until the end of 1967. Does this limit me to a 1400cc engine and a 4 speed gearbox? Or were they using 5's and 1600cc in competition by then?

Thanks,

Simon

1438 and the early 5 speed. It would also be a torque tube rear suspension. If you are in the US it would be a very very rare car.

yeah, '68 was the first legit year forthe import. a '67 would have been an individual import of a european model.
