Has anyone looked into integrated a climate controlled seat into their spider? I don't think AC would be very useful in a convertible with the top down, but a cooled seat might be adequate. We experience a number of days with temps over 100F and some cooling would be nice.
Some of the new cars have this option. This company provides the tech: http://www.amerigon.com. Maybe I could scour the wrecking yards for models with this option?
I found an aftermarket pad that might work here: http://www.coolorheat.com. Two would cost ~$240. I wonder how hard it would be to strip the pad and integrate the cooling/heating into the stock spider seats?
What do you think? Should I pursue this after I get my spider on the road again?

it shouldn't be too difficult to install them, there are several companies making them for aftermarket use
