Springs question

Post by Mark_vaughn »

When should the springs be changed? It isnt something that "wears out" I wouldn't think, and I am not concerned with improving performance at this point. Just want a safe suspension.

Any thoughts?

springs do wear out; the telltale sign is sagging on one corner or side of the car. There are specs for the ride height. Most people change them to either lower the car or improve handling

I have a spring question.

Has anyone here had any experience with Dobinson Springs from down under? ( Aus.)

I see these listed on Ebay often and My "77 124 really needs some springs anyway and these appear to be a good choice, as I like the idea of dropping my stock ride height down an inch.

I just wondered if anyone could give me any opinions?
Thanks in advance.

If you are going to drop ride height I'd advise investing in an oil pan guard.

I have lightened up my car greatly and it currently sits about 2" higher than stock presently. I'm also running 14" wheels,

I was hopeing for some experienced opinions on these Dobinson springs.
