car show in Penticton BC

Post by narfire »

For anyone interested, there is a car show June 26,27,28 June this year in Penticton BC. It is limited to the first 700 entries. I don't know how to put a link here but google "peach city beach cruise", and it will have the details.
Looking back at past winners, seems the brits have the offshore catigory locked up,anyone nearby with a "trailer Queen" I'll put mine in this year, see what happens, perhaps the owner of the mini that was posted a while back can come and stand around my car  (anything will help eh)
PM me if you want any questions answered, I'll try and source an answer if your interested.

Chris

Just joined the club and looking for meets to discuss Fiat and retoration stuff. I will be on the road that weekend from Victroia with my '78 1800 but we are heading to Williams Lake for the Rodeo. Nothing like a short road trip in the Rockies. Do you know of any other shows around BC this year?

There is an Italian Car show in Vancouver. I do not know the particulars. I will find out more. I have changed my car too much from original to show. http://www.flickr.com/photos/razor07725/

I have not entered the fiat as I'm kinda swamped at work, but driving around, what a eyefull of great looking cars.
No shortage of detroit iron, all great looking cars. Drove by the beach on the way home, must have seen 10 or more 60's camaro's in a row.Proud owners are accross the street at the motel with an adult type beverage in their mits. Big thing around here where most are imported fuel misers. Lots of rods, the only two offshore seen so far has been a Ferrari 355 and a mgb that was for sale. There might be 6-700 cars tomorow(sat) lined up for public viewing.

A mayor that was in office for one term ,several years ago, thought an Elvis festival would be a good thing as well, kinda corny in my opinion, but seems most of the car exibitors are from that era and are having a blast.
Weather is great with the Okanagan Lake as a backdrop, bummer I have to be at the shop. Going to cut out early and take some pics.

My brother Rick went to Penticton yesterday (from Sicamous), but got frustrated because his camera's batteries died early. If you post a link to some pictures, I'm sure he'll do likewise for those that he did take. I gather it was an outstanding show.

Nice ride C2

Can you tell me what size of wheels and tires you have there. That combination looks good.

Thanks!

The wheels are Tecnomagnesio 15 inch. The tires are Dunlop SP Sport 205/50 (front) 225/50 (rear). This a little to wide, but I got a good deal on them.
