It's funny that this just came up, because me and my wife are taking off this Friday to go out to the Pindar Vineyards for the first time!

I'm not taking the Fiat this time however, but it will be a nice trip to see just how far it is to the vineyards. I'm thinking about 60 - 70 miles from my house in Queens. Thats about the perfect road trip for the spider!

Is my spider welcome in the concours, or am I better of just displaying it? It's really pretty nice and has taken a third place peoples choice trophy at a fairly large show at Floyd Bennet Field, but I'm not sure of the level of perfection your car has to have or the types of cars they are looking for. I'm picturing some pretty nice concour classics being there.

Thanks for the info!

PS - The weather is supposed to be lousy for this Fridays "run out east"... Is it worth the trip in the rain?

OF COURSE, your Spider is welcome in the concours! The first year, A Fiat Spider beat out Ferraris for a prize. People love these little cars. As far as trip in the rain, most of what they have to see at Pindar is indoors. Also, I love going out east any time in any weather, so I say go for it.

Dahhhhhh! :(

Never made it out east today. It was just an ugly stormy mess, so my wife decided to go to work and save the day off for a better day. Oh well....

There has been some accelerated passive interest in Fiats generated by the Chrlysler debacle. This is good for us. How good, mainly depends upon how we handle the press releases, and the roll out.

Garage419 is a NY based YouTube channel. I've had a couple of conversations with Matt Farah (lead presenter) about a show topic. The idea for the show for him is Fiat history in north America, and where we go from here and why we want to.

He asked me to tell him when there was a show that had a bunch of Fiats at it near Gotham (NYC, like you didn't know).

If there isn't a 10-20 or more car commitment to this particular show. I wont even tell him about it.

If there is such an expected turn out for Spiders and X1/9's, I'll pull the trigger right now.

I wont be there, I live in SoCal.... but If you are reasonable driving distance to this event... Matt only asked for a week's notice.

ok.. that covered. Is the new 500 still stateside? any new Alfa's around? Lets get this rolling proper, and cover the bases.

America is a much cooler place when it has Italian cars.

-Ryan

call me with details about this show please... I can get it covered in a big big way.

Hi Ryan. We get mostly Ferrari, with Alfa making decent showing and maybe 2-3 Fiats. I'll call you though.
Thanks!
