Is there a video or info as to how to get to the side emblem mounting holes. I have the emblems that bolt onto both sides of the vehicle. I'm guessing I will have to take out back seat bottom to access all the screws to release the inner panel. Am I missing anything?
Thanks

You've almost got it. You'll need to remove that triangular plastic cover shield. I think you just need to remove two screws, one in the very bottom front near the chrome door sill rail, and one above that at the top with the snap button attachment. The cover should just pull out without removing the rear seat or bottom.
Once that is out, you should see a thin black plastic molded cover that covers the inner structure including the rear wheel well. That plastic "sheet" just lays in there, but it is underneath where the convertible top frame attaches to the body. I seem to recall that all you need to do is loosen (but not remove) those large Phillips screws and slide the plastic cover out. It may be brittle due to age, although these pieces on my '69 came out without breaking.
You should be able at this point to reach through an access hole in the sheet metal to get to the emblem rear side. Later models just had push in emblems with a plastic "receptacle" in the body, but the earlier models may have had a fastener. I don't know on my '69 because the car was repainted when I was a young kid, and the bozo body shop guy neglected to put back many trim pieces. For the side emblems, he just used bondo to close the holes... So I converted to the later style push pins when I replaced the emblems.
