Hello fronPgh PA

Hi All,

I'm a new member in a north Pittsburgh, PA suburb. I have a 1971 124 Spider BS1 with a 1608 motor and Ansa exhaust that I am trying to get roadworthy. It has sat unused for two 20 year periods but only has 58k miles. it runs, drives and stops but lots of work is needed. I had the drive shaft, intermediate drive shaft bearing and ujoint replaced. I'm now moving to replace the leaking differential seal. I has the usual rusty rockers and floor supports but otherwise appears to be pretty solid.

Welcome! I have a fondness for the early spiders, and I've been through many of them inside and out. Nice spiders once properly sorted.

hi,
late but not too late: you're welcome! Another barnfind to be rescued, so a great project! Any pics from the "before" state?

Pennsylvaina is Spider land: The worldwide Spider Registry counts 337 for your state! But there are just 11 cars from the early BS1 (1600) type, see here:
https://www.fiatspider.de/register?Fahr ... nnsylvania
Is your car already listed (as we started in 1996!)? If not, it would be great to get your car data (just pm me here)!

Thanks in advance and good luck with your project!

Cheers Ralf
