I am trying to rebuild a drive shaft I bought used off Facebook.
No new one oe reman ones available from the big 3.
When I went to replace carrier bearing I took yoke off of immediately infront of carrier bearing.
To my surprise it looks to be about 20 or so splines.
My original one have 6 grooves?
It looks like original drive shaft. But mine in mangled.
Do I have the wring drive shaft?

Re: Drive shaft problem
We're talking about the front driveshaft section, the shorter piece, right?
The front of this shorter driveshaft, the part that fits into the rubber giubo at the rear of the transmission, has twenty or so splines. The rear of this short driveshaft, the part where the carrier bearing is, has about six splines. I forget the exact number.
If this isn't what you've got in your "new" driveshaft, then you probably don't have the right one.
