New Member from Temecula, CA

Hi all!

I just bought a dark blue 1979 Fiat Spider 2000 and live in Temecula, California. I wanted one of these since I was a kid, having grown up watching my dad work on his '79 Alfa Romeo Spider. I have zero experience working on carburetors or on old Fiats in general, but I'm learning a lot from this forum and from the many videos Fiat fans have posted over the years.

I am having trouble finding a mechanic who works on old Fiats here in town, but if any other SoCal owners have any recommendations that would be great. I'm of course interested in doing a lot of the work myself, but knowing a local pro would definitely help me sleep better a night!

Hi Joe,
you are welcome! Riverside as part of the Desert Region has various Spider (as listed in the worldwide Spider Register).

Peter Moote aka "mootept" here from fiatspider.com has restored a 70 Spider (BS 1400) carbureted model! Perhaps he can give some advice?!

We are always interested in Spider pics, so show us your car, please!

Thanks for the advice! I actually just found out Allison Automotive is over in Upland. It's a bit of a drive/tow but worth it!
