Hi all,
I think this is a simple question.....
Just got given an 81 which didn't run or have brakes, got most of that figured out but exhaust is an issue.
PO had the cat welded to the header and deleted the flanges.
I have a pair of flanges, but to put car back so that standard parts will fit i need the dimension flange to flange for a 4 bolt cat or test pipe. I can then cut the header/cat and install the flanges.
Thanks

Re: cat or test pipe length
I'm pretty sure the 4 bolt used on the spider 2000 in 18" in length. I removed the CAT because of a blockage and pounded out the metal inside that was blocking the exhaust flow. The empty cat sounded terrible, so I then went to a straight pipe. Then in 2011, I had a mandrel bent 2.25" Exhaust installed from the header back with no CAT. Very loud. Now I have two mufflers, the forward muffler where the CAT was and it sounds deep and Italian without waking up the neighborhood in the morning.
Buon giro a tutti! - enjoy the ride!
