If the scratches don't come out with a polish, you may have to have them buffed out. What are you using to wash and dry your car? I found a few techniques to keep from scratching the paint during a wash.
A wash mitt instead of a rag is good. Only use a good car wash soap, not dish detergent. I made that mistake once and ended up buffing the entire car because of water spots that were etched into the paint. When ready to dry, take the nozzle off your hose and let the water run all over your car. It helps the water drain off and not bead as much. An absorbent chamois is better than a towel to dry. Instead of wiping it dry, I either blot it dry or lay the chamois flat on the surface and pull it off the car. This will get the water off without applying pressure and rubbing.
