Hi Everyone!,
I just picked up a 1977 Spider last week in decent driver condition and I've been lurking these forums going through all the expertise and trying to fix some small issues with it.
I'm not a mechanic but I am one of those engineers mechanics curse about as they try to work on a new car and wonder why they've become so complicated.
I've got a few cars I play around with: Gen 1 Raptor, '66 Coronet, '87 El Camino -not running, and now adding the Fiat to the fleet.
Even just as an archive this forum has been hugely helpful, as I've been able to find solutions to most questions just by lurking.
I look forward to engaging with all the enthusiasts as I slowly try to restore/restomod it over time.
The one bothering me most right now is not having a working tach, it was switched over to electronic ignition at some point, so I've already got the capacitor on order. (Seems to not work at all if the lights are off, but bounces when they are turned on)

Re: Hello from Detroit!
Welcome ICarl!…as you’ve stated, this forum is an amazing knowledge bank! But in addition to it, if you haven’t done so already, purchasing this book/manual it’s a must:

I’ve found the wiring diagrams specially helpful to troubleshoot any pesky electrical issues.
Great looking car btw!

Re: Hello from Detroit!
Thanks! (Yeah Carl works , it's an old nickname and the l is just a border since it's taken on some forums)
I'll take a picture of the VIN and add to the registry!
Luckily It came with a manual and I've already solved the tach problem.
Going to drive it for a bit and enjoy it for now
