Installing power windows
Hey all, does anyone know of a way I could install power windows on my 1980 FI 124? I'm pretty sure it was an option on this year of car and I was wondering if anyone had done this already, maybe the mounting points are already on the door and it just needs a motor and some switches?

Re: Installing power windows
It's been 30 years, but in my first Spider 2000 I removed the power window regulators and fitted manual ones. I seem to recall that the mounting holes were slightly different, but they were there, so it was straightforward.
Since power windows were indeed an option for the Spider 2000 the wiring harnesses are there behind the radio console, so fitting power windows should be straightforward as well, provided you can find the OE switches and regulators. You will have to contend with the hole in the door panel, but there were plugs fitted, so with a little searching you should be able to find those as well, if not come up with a similar solution.
