Looking for help to install the Midwest Bayless LED Headlights---"Headlight Bulb SET 2x - 7" H4 L.E.D. LED Headlight KIT - Fiat Lancia All w/7" Bulb - NEW" The description shows a need to cut holes in the housing to dissipate heat, but outside of that---what else needs to be done? how do they connect to the original wiring, etc? Is there a downside? Upside? thanks.

I installed them a few years ago. Pretty much plug and play. Very easy and straight forward. They are fantastic.

Hi Cabanabob,

I just picked up the same kit and it's next on my list. Were you able to install, and do you have any tips or gotchas I should be aware of? Did you drill the holes, as Mid-West Bayless recommends, and did you add relays or change any wiring (I'm told that's not needed, but just wondering)

Lastly, did you see a big difference in headlight performance?

I'm putting these into a '78 spider and I'm excited to be able to see the road! :-)

Thanks!

Very easy install. I drilled some holes and I know people that didn’t. No issues for either way. They are a Tremendous update and you’re going to be very happy. You’ll want to adjust the headlights after install and the. The hardest part is getting the gasket and rings back on. Very easy amd straight forward stuff.

Thanks for the reply, and I'm glad it proved to be a worthwhile endeavor. I have some stripped screws to content with first, but looking forward to making the upgrade.
