Carb fuel pressure regulator

Post by BammBamm »

For whatever reason I cant get my FI to work. So I want to swap it over to the carb I have. WHen i connect the fuel line with my FI fuel pump gas just pours out of the carb. Is there a pressure regulator that i should use?

Need a lower volume/pressure fuel pump. Wouldn't mess with a press reg. The Facet pump works great: I believe 2-5 psi..

Geo has it right: a carb is designed to receive around 3psi pressure from the fuel pump, give or take a psi. Any more than that and it will overwhelm the needle valve on the float, which sounds like what's happening with your engine. The FI system is built for a much higher pressure, and so the fuel pumps are designed accordingly. But they won't work for a carb setup.

If you're going to switch back to a carb, you'll need to switch back to the fuel pump designed for that.
