Wrong gasket on Vick's Intake?

Post by CodysFiat »

Hi all, I recently put in a few orders for different parts from both Vick Auto and AR. In order to push my AR order to $100 and get free shipping, I added an intake manifold gasket because I knew I was going to be replacing that down the road.

I then bought the Vick's Single Plane intake manifold, and I am just now realizing that the Vick manifold doesn't have the opening for the coolant to flow. The gasket that I have from AR has the holes cut into it for that. Can I still run this or will have some leakage? I'd prefer to only have to do this once. Let me know you thoughts. Thanks!

The autoricambi kit for the intake manifold/carb kit shows an intake without a water passage, and the gasket with the hole. It should be fine.
