I'm in the middle of replacing the cam box gaskets on my 76' but the intake side EGR manifold is preventing the cam box from coming up that extra 1/2" necessary to clear the valves and tappets. I tried unscrewing the "cap" to access the bolt underneath but it is solidly sized. The brass manifold tube starts bending long before the bolt feels like it's going to give. I've tried giving it some WD40 and was considering a blow torch but thought it best to check in here first.
This is the part I'm trying to remove for clarification: https://ibb.co/h7Ppkkj
And here it is on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/124676526656
Thanks as always for the great advice

Re: Stuck EGR Manifold
I hope you are only joking about putting a torch anywhere near that carb and fuel filter in the vicinity of the tube. You might not see graduation. WD40 is a poor penetrating oil. Get some PB Blaster or CRC Nuts off or any number of chemicals designed as penetrants. Soak the offending part and walk away for a few hours. Give it a few raps with a hammer, soak it again. Perhaps try tightening it slightly and then loosening it. If it moves soak it some more. Exercise some patience and you will get it but please no open flames near the carb.

Re: Stuck EGR Manifold
Thanks for the suggestion! I tried some Blaster but didn't have any luck. I managed to get the cam boxes off just by removing some carb hoses and bending the EGR manifold slightly out of the way. It frustrates me to have a bolt I can't remove but I guess that's where I'll have to leave it for the time being.
