3D Printed Stuff (seat belt guides, phenolic spacer, buttons, bracketsetc)
Wanted to start a new thread for everyone that has 3D skills to post their designs.
a) First in my list is the seat belt guide (back of the seats).
This is NOT a PERFECT copy of the original but CLOSE.
Al measurements are to the millimeter, 3mm bolts required.
b) Phenolic spacer for weber 17mm
c)Center caps for aftermarket wheels
d) Soon: Center Console vents

A 3D printed clock gear would be amazing. The plastic orange clock gear that breaks on everyone’s clocks! And nobody seems to have the replacement.GTRaptor wrote:NOTE: SUBMIT YOUR IDEAS !!!!

I agree, pretty cool! I don't have any 3D skills, but the one part I'm always on the lookout for is the plastic cam inside the early Sipea ignition switches. This part is mounted on the shaft and opens and closes electrical contacts in the switch depending on where the key is. Over time, the lobe on the cam wears down (melts actually) due to the heat generated from contacts that are failing, and the the contacts stop working entirely. Usually the "ON" position contacts, and sometimes the "START" position ones.

CLOCK...Yes can do that, my clock is running but a gear broke, i have to disassemble it to get the gear and dimensions, but if SOMEONE has the gear already out, take measurements:
1. pivot diameter (axle)
2. Inner diameter (before teeth start)
3. Outer Diameter
4. Number of teeth
5. Width

Everything is possible, but need the measurements.18Fiatsandcounting wrote:I agree, pretty cool! Thanks, Raptor! I don't have one of these handy right now (both of mine are installed in ignition switches in cars), but if I happen to have one out in the next few weeks, I'll check back with you.

PS: Good work on finding that Veglia clock fix on the xweb.

FINALLY! So glad someone has taken this on. That cap above the ebrake for the console is brilliant. But I could not download the plan.
What about modeling those damn rear seat belt guides? Those are $50 each! Printed ones should work perfectly.
I'm sure I am not the only person on the forum to cheer on your efforts.

These look great.
I've attempted center caps, but it's the springy part that holds them in that's a hassle.

Use PETG for the caps, it is not as stiff as PLA, it has some flex and it is tougher

Love this idea. Finally someone duplicating Fiat stuff! Finally my 3D printer can make more than useless trinkets!
Thanks!
Thanks!
