I'm upgrading all of the visibly rotted-out hoses in my engine bay with this silicone hose kit:

I may have gone too far and replaced some hoses not intended by the kit.... ie. 2 hoses coming out of break fluid canister going into master cylinder... they just transport break fluid, which is ok with silicone, no?
Any that absolutely should not be replaced with silicone?
Sorry for the ignorance.

I think this is what you bought, yes?evrenosogullari wrote: ie. 2 hoses coming out of break fluid canister going into master cylinder... they just transport break fluid, which is ok with silicone, no?

AutoRicambi is a very reliable and knowledgeable Fiat parts supplier, but they don't list brake fluid as being one of the applications for these hoses. I'd be a bit wary as brake fluid seems pretty well behaved, but it will eat through car paint, epoxy-coated floors, etc. As a result, brake fluid hoses have to be a special kind of rubber, and I don't know if silicone rubber qualifies.
Better safe than sorry, so my vote would be to replace the brake hoses. Or call AutoRicambi and check.
