Hello from Redmond, WA (1980 Spider)

Post by NewFiatOwner »

I am a new Fiat owner, but avid car restoration enthusiast.

Most of the restoration work I have done in the past has been old British cars - Austin-Healeys, Land Rovers, and Jaguars. I currently have a 1962 Mark 2 and a 1958 Mark IX in the garage. I recently acquired a fuel injected 1980 Spider from a co-worker who wanted it cleared out of his garage.

It has sat idle for at least the last 9 years, so it is going to be a bit of work to awaken this car properly. Just starting in on the fun!

Welcome! I've played with a couple old Jags myself, in addition to my current '93 XJ6. Fiats are much, much lighter as I'm sure you've figured out!

Belated welcome from up north of you..
My 82 sat for 5 years before I bought it. It was in very good condition and didn't suffer any ill effects from the hiatus. I drove it home 80 miles and have had it 15 years and am just now doing any major work on it.
Hope yours is doing well also.
