cutaway view of a spider

Post by dinghyguy »

Hi All,

I am looking for a cutaway view of a spider. I found an engine, an 850 spider but not a 124 spider. Does anyone know where thee is a decent resolution photo? I was looking to make some garage art for my new garagae.

Thanks

Not sure if this angle is what you were looking for, but how about this?

That's a cool picture, thanks for that. The lack of headrests leads me to believe this might be a '68 model, or perhaps a non-US version? Anyone know for sure? And that "turtleback" air cleaner is unique, so is that for a dual carb setup, or an Abarth version or the like?

In studying the picture some more, it seems to be a compilation of several model years. On the front driver's side, there is a round side marker light which was used on '68 and '69, and square side markers were used after that. But, the engine has the distributor mounted up on the exhaust cam, which came in 1971 (possibly 1970). The gas pedal is the early floor mounted style (1968 and earlier?), while the radiator appears to have an electric fan which came in 1971 or so.

I still like the picture, but just trying to figure out what model year it really is. :D

Looking at this picture makes me realize I must be overfilling my gas tank when I put fluid all the way up the inlet tube. :)
