Is there a washer where the hood slides on to the Hood pin.I can’t recall since I removed the hood a few years back.

Yep, it was a brass washer from my recollection. One on each hinge pin bracket.

How to you get hod adjustment from side to side.

My current two spiders both have a very thin washer on those hinge pivots, but the hoods have been removed so many times that I can't say whether that's original. I do have a pretty large gap (3/16"?) between the sides of the hood and the front fenders, but I've just learned to live with it.

I'm not aware of any means of side to side adjustment other than using thicker washers on the hinge pivot, or on the two bolts between the hinge bracket and body. I wouldn't try to bend the bracket.
