This Spider on Bring a Trailer is on no reserve, ends today early afternoon. IT IS ONE OF BRAD ARTIGUE's CARS. Only a little over $5k so far. Holy Moly.

Bidding is still going up, so stay tuned. I'm sure Brad was very conscientious about going through the car and fixing any significant issues, so the buyer will be getting a nice car. I did notice in one of the acceleration videos on YouTube, you can just get a quick glimpse of the temperature gauge, and that engine was still pretty cold (or the gauge doesn't work right). Just an observation.

$6300 with 3 hours to go. A bargain for any car he restored.

Sold for $9800. A good price for a good car. Only a couple of trolls this time. That's refreshing.

Excellent prospects for mine. Going to prime this weekend. Looks like a good ROI is in the future for these cars.

Steiny, have you been watching Craigslist prices for Spiders in Northern California lately? I swear the asking prices have DOUBLED since the pandemic started last year! I guess everyone wants a project now! :)

Oddly enough, I don't spend any time on that website (or fb marketplace etc). Unlike most other car people. My brother is especially guilty of this, he will spend hours upon hours browsing the classifieds.

I found my spider on CL, but only after I mulled over the idea of owning one (any spider, really) for months. I knew going in I would restore the car and that takes a certain amount of commitment and dedication. The reason I don't browse is because I finish one project and don't move onto the next until it's finished.

Once the Fiat is done and sold, which will be sooner rather than later, I will be focusing on motorsports and buying a dedicated track only car. It will be a Spec Racer Ford. I've been researching for a few months now and that's what I want to do next. No reason to look at actual cars just yet, though. It's not like I'm going to buy one this weekend ;)

Asking prices vs. sold prices are often miles apart. Ironically, one of the first responses to my ad: https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/ca ... 58257.html came from Cat City, asking me to contact him if the car didn't sell! Maybe NorCal is different than SoCal :? Stay tuned ...
