Pirelli fuel hose,...wow.

Post by wetminkey »

Drip, drip, drip,...
Found my Spider dripping fuel from it's split gas tank output hose - woven-fabric wrapped Pirelli hose. Surprised me to see the Pirelli name on a fuel hose,...
Anyway, new hose (not Pirelli, I'm afraid) to my electric fuel pump today, and replaced my factory fuel level sensor (that dropped out at 1/2 tank). No leaks,...nice fuel gauge response, now!
At this point, the car is near perfect and I've begun the painting process,...
Hope y'all are staying healthy and safe!

I had the same problem after my gal being in storage since 1988. I replaced as much of it as I could, moved from Pirelli to Gates.
