Hello,
I have a ton of 124 heads that I want to rebuild and need a good valve compressor tool. Anybody buy one recently and from where. How would you rate it. Had an older tool and bent the handle. Your input would be appreciated. I have been researching on the forum but I think I came across 2 references to actual tools and part numbers. I just don’t want to buy junk.
Thank-you!

If you are going to rebuild the heads on a bench/table there is an easy way to go. Cut triangular wood blocks to fit into the combustion chambers between the valves. Clamp the head to the bench. Use threaded studs or bolts and a section of unistrut to compress the springs and remove the keepers.

I bought mine so long ago that I don't recall the brand, but I've had several and the ones that always seemed to work were of the C-clamp variety, such as: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-906785?rrec=true
The ones that definitely don't work are the ones that look a little like a gear puller, and the problem is that they can only grab one spring (the outer) but the Fiats also have an inner spring that makes things more interesting.
