I found 1961 fiat spider on google. I don't really know, first fiat.

some places I saw it. I have been trying to find out just to make sure. The pictures make it look worse than it really is, ok it is rough but in time oh like 5 years it will look GREAT.

The important thing is that the body panels are all there and looks pretty straight and solid. The surface rust will come off without much trouble. Pretty rare indeed. You might want to dip rather than media blast the body.
Good luck

Key to these critters are the rockers. Thats why mine is on a rotissary. Problem is, Ive been distracted by a Spider. The 61 is a Cabriolet, a 1200, or 1500. Mine is a 1500s with the Osca engine.http://flickr.com/photos/wwwfiatspidercom/2059684517/

Buying the restored one that sold for 8,000 euros would have been the much cheaper route to go. But I suppose the rarity means these don't come up for sale all that often. If you aren't missing any of the expensive trim/interior parts and you do all the work yourself, you shouldn't end up too far upside down financially. But it will be a lot more fun putting it together yourself and you'll know it was done right. And when you are finished, you'll have one of the rarest Fiats around -- how cool is that? Keep posting those pix as your project progresses!

Not sure if there is a place in Salem oregon that dips. Good Idea though.

The rockers are pretty good. Hopefully sometime this weekend I will lay out all the parts and take some more detailed pictures. Spider, 1200, or cab don't really matter I guess.

I plan on taking my 125.00 dollar car and learning every nut, bolt and inch of it. it is a complete car it has all the trim and chrome. Some things need some work but hey. It ain't about the money, it is about the experience right. You can't take it with you, you know.
