After lining up the zero tdc to check the cam alignments, found them to be ok. Photos show each as well as the timing mark which is slightly off from tdc so I'm calling the cams good.

Is the dizzy close enough to #4 (black marks) or does it need to be repositioned?

Re: Close enough?
My bad. Missed the forward slash in the last img
So here's the timing mark:

And the cams:

And finally the dizzy:

The cams look right on given that The timing mark is a tiny bit off.
The dizzy is close (see the two black marks) but close enough to #4?

Re: Close enough?
While rebuilding the dizzy, I noticed two punch marks on the edge of the housing. You can see them in the photo showing where the #4 position of the rotor is (the black mark). Curiously they appear to indicate the same thing - the #4 position of the rotor. Not sure if this was a factory mark or one PO's may have added.
Has anyone else seen these?

My 79 2L has a line, cast in place, on the distributor base at the 0-10 deg setting.
