Re: Crankcase ventilation plugging
1st, use Imgur to post photos: easy.
I just plugged mine up not long ago.
I had only one air port (for lack of a better word right on top of the head. pull the air valve out and match the threads with a short bolt or plumbing plug. cant remember the size.
the PVC comes from below the intake manifold: goes to air cleaner.

Re: Crankcase ventilation plugging
here is a pic of top of head. You will see 2 plugs along the left side near #2 & 3 spark plug holes.
the one near #2 was already done. the one near #3 I did with a short bolt and copper washer. this is wear the "air valve" was.
hope this helps

Re: Crankcase ventilation plugging
unsure. All posts I previously saw, did what I did.
I also plugged the pipe going from the exhaust manifold to the head at the front of the head (where the EGR) connects; it may connect with the ports inside; no idea.
when the old stuff was on, I do remember plugging the top of the valve that came out of the head and it did run poorly.
after all the changes I made, never had an issue.
you may try calling AR or Mark at Allison's; both great at giving you quick advise and info
what else are you planning to do?

Re: Crankcase ventilation plugging
yes. the PVC from the block to the carb. there is a spiral metal mesh inside the hose to collect the oil and drip back down.
I have a weber 32/36. just need to run the hose to fit. I'l try to take a pick of thi a bit to fit.
What carb set up are you looking at?

That's a flame trap that is in the crankcase vent hose.

Re: Crankcase ventilation plugging
Just a clarification: I believe the proper term is PCV for Positive Crankcase Ventilation. PVC is typically for Poly Vinyl Chloride as used in plastic pipe.
