Factory catalyctic converter hangers (springs) noisy and useless, anybody find a good replacement?

Good advice, thanks.
Part of the issue is the $375 4-bolt flange catalytic converter I bought and installed (CARB certified, the 49-state variant doesn’t comply apparently; hence, the $150 premium) does not have the spring brackets. To fix planned on welding on to brackets (angle iron with a hole drilled in it). Before I do that, thought someone might have devised a more robust fix.
