'79 brings $26,400 at auction

 Well...this is interesting...
276-mile 1979 FIAT Spider 2000 sells for $26,400 incl Buyer's premium at Barrett-Jackson Northeast on 6/21/18.

I guess it's not surprising that a 276 mile Spider gets all the money at an auction, but I'm surprised that it's not all orgiinal - I see aftermarket (I assume) wheels, exhaust, and perhaps new paint under the hood in front of the radiator and hood spring.

I'm particularly pleased to see this price for a Marron Metal 1979 with tan interior... mine is identical, though with about 23,000 more miles, pwr windows.

Barrett-Jackson calls it a 'Spyder'....grr

Wow

I have noticed that locally prices have seemed to jump up a bit. Eight years ago 3k was the norm whereas now I’m seeing most asking prices in the mid 7k.
