How does one remove the electric window switch on an 85?

Is it possible without tearing the dash apart to have to get behind it?

Not that I know of. The clips have to be pressed from the back. A alternative to removing the center dash plate is to carefully remove just the row of switches. It pries out fairly easy, just be mindful of the tabs catching on the plastic "wood" veneer.

Hi ekstrandt, I have an 84 and have done several times, first remove the radio. This gives you hand access from the back.
with your hand push out the switch in the center panel from the back. And if you ever have to remove the bezel, first remove all switches from the back.
