Hello,
Im new here
It is day one with my Spider
Im sitting in my garage looking at my 79 after taking my wife out for coffee in it and then zipping off to see how she handled the curves through the mountains here near Boise Idaho
A little nervous cause I dont want a breakdown and dont know the vehicle yet but after a drive around town I wound it up a little up through the mountains and you know it got better and better!
wipers dont work-- but they move a little and I think its just linkage binding and should be easy but thats the only niggle so far, leaked the smallest one drop of oil onto the floor overnight--not bad
A joy to drive, a little painful getting in and out--im getter older not better and im used to a 4x4 but a lot of fun
It seems to me that nothing is better than day one
Does anything beat day one?

Welcome aboard,
Day 1 is a true joy, but I can honestly say that every time I drive mine, it gets better and better every time.
As you make improvements to the car you will become more and more attached to it, hopefully.
They are truly a lot of fun when they are fully sorted, and they usually bring a lot of smiles and thumbs up from others:

If it's not leaking a little bit, then the fluids are empty
Enjoy, Boise must be a great place for a Spider!

These cars don't leak - they are just marking their territory!
