Seat mechanics

Post by RobJ »

Hey guys, so upon taking the whole interior apart to redo the carpet and upholstery i've lost the seat mechanics and need to get some kind of replacement. However, It's the console side of the seats that i need the part for not the one that adjusts the seats lean. And i can't find a replacement or even what that part looks like online.

Hi, Did you ever find an internal seat hinge?

It appears I'm missing the nut that keeps the upper seat clasp from sliding off the lower seat post. I've resorted to using a small block of 12mm laminated birch wedged between the seat and the console to keep the seat together. Since I haven't been able to find the part I need, maybe instead I'll end up an aftermarket source for 12mm laminate wedges for 124 spiders missing seat pieces... Burled Bubinga, Mahogany, you name it! ;-)

Call Midwest-Bayless. They have more than what is listed on their website. 9 will get you 10 that they will have the part.

I have spares I'd be willing to sell, but will be out of state on business for a while.
