Gas door spring

I know it's been covered but all the related threads won't launch. Does anyone have good pictures / installation instructions for the gas door spring. Mine is there bu obviously not correctly installed as it does nothing

RRoller23 thanks for the picture but I think my issue is higher up than the photo shows. That little bend top, is it supposed to ride in the slot? I think the problem is mine get pushed all the way through and is just loose at the top. I can't get it to come back through now so that is can seat properly.

Second thought, I guess I need more help. I tried this damn thing every way I could imagine and cannot get it to work and stay put. PLUS in the pictures posted above it sure as heck looks like it is installed differently in the second picture than in the first or third? The upper arms come off the coils differently in the second photo?

Hi Zachman

I will make a video of it on Saturday and see if I can post a link to it, as I have to put mine back on. Its hard to take photos of the process which is what I did, but its not so easy to communicate all the steps you take to get it in there by photos.

Thx, the video was what I needed. If a picture is worth a thousand words then a "talky"has infinite worth. Took me about 30 seconds to install once I saw what has to happen. :D Thanks again.
