G BREDA Cams

Post by jandarah »

Hi,

Does anyone have any information or can direct me where to look to find information on G BREDA cams. I have in both the inlet and exhaust of my 1756cc engine that I use to sprint with. It is fed by twin Weber 40 IDF's. This name is stamped on the end, plus a number, 227 for the inlet cam and 113 on the exhaust cam. They have very rounded noses, not the pointy type of Fiat standard cams.

It is not performing well in the buildup to maximum revs. The dyno guy, a Fiat and Alfa man from way back was not happy with the inlet cam's performance. I have removed both for him to measure and map.

Thanks,

John

I'm not sure if this helps but I have a set of FAZA cams that are 35/75 timing ( street performance)and look like what you are describing. They came in other grinds as welll such as 40/80 timing and other more radical grinds.I know that Breda used to make cams for FAZA and they were "cast" not steel . I hope this helps.
