Polish Water Neck (updated with pics!)

Post by architect »

Just curious, has anyone attempted to polish the water neck? I am about 1/2 done polishing my valve covers, and they turned out amazing. Now I'm addicted!

Assuming the water neck is cast aluminum, it should match up right?

I do like Vicks aluminum, but they run $$$$$$.

I've seen a few people polish them, and yes they look just as good as polished valve covers.

We like them too.

Are your necks anodized to match the pulleys (same red or blue) or painted? cant tell from pic.

I might just order one from you and call it a day. Polishing the valve covers were a big enough task

They are anodized the "same" colors as the pulleys and such.
But being that they are different batches at different times they aren't 100% color matches on the blue and red.

Here some updated pics for anyone interested with Vick's necks..

I ordered the Red, but after some thought.. decided to swap out for Blue. Thankfully the guys were very accommodating and helped me out!
