replacing lower console

Hi folks. Once again feel like a newbie but couldn't find this topic covered. I bought a new lower console from AR over the winter. Want to replace sometime this summer. I think there are two screws in the front near the heater outlets (and I think those grills can come off also.) But now do you remove the old one? Going to try to free up the heater controls while doing this--heat is pretty much always on. Car just out of storage for 2017, getting oil changed. Have new rebuilt clock from (John?) for another project. Lots of other questions but plenty of time for those. Thanks!

IIRC there is another screw at the rear, I think under the ash tray or somewhere like that.

There is a video on YouTube of the lower console replacement. Found when I took mine off I was able to tighten the clamps on the heater cables & the valve worked much better.
