Throttle posistion switch

Post by sigkadetm »

Do you set the idle first then adjust the throttle position switch? Can't remember

Yes, keep the TPS loose so it is properly switched, then after setting things, rotate it so it just clicks when the throttle is actuated. It has been a while since I did this, but I seem to remember that the TPS can actually hold the throttle plate open and screw up the whole idle speed setting, so it should be done last. Just make sure it is fully loosened so it doesn't interfere with the idle setting process.
